Father Pat Duffy (1935 - 2013)
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Patrick (Pat) Duffy, 78, former monk of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, and retired priest of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, Albuquerque, NM. Father Duffy died on Sunday June 23 after a long illness, with his family at this side. Father Pat was born August 15, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. He professed solemn vows in 1978 as a Cisrtercian monk of Conyers, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1981. Father Duffy served for several years at Saint Mary's Parish in the archdiocese of Santa Fe, NM.
Father Duffy is survived by his brother Patrick and his sister Anne Hunt, both of Pawleys Island, SC. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
The burial service and the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the Monastery Church. The internment follows at Honeycreek Woodlands, the Monastery's Natural Burial grounds.
