The work of the monk is primarily to sing praises to God and to pray for the world. Meanwhile, the Rule of St. Benedict directs the monks to work for their living "by their own hands." Our industries include fruitcake, fudge, stained glass, the Abbey Store, and the Bonsai Greenhouse. The Retreat House provides guests with a quiet atmosphere for prayer and reflection, and our Conservation Burial Ground is a beautiful and environmentally responsible resting place for people of all faiths.
